International Investments and Controllers

International investments are often affected by controllers, the 65 families who are shown in my novel the 65th Octave. This novel is not all fiction as you will see.

International Investments and Controlling Families

Have a series of families or organizations knitted together to control the world of international investments?

I don’t think so, not in the predetermined sense that some conspiracy theorists suggest. I have heard that such groups as the Illuminati, Tri-laterists, etc. have century long plans to dominate every aspect of our wealth, culture, international investments and even our thought.

International Investments Observation

My observation from dealing with thousands of wealthy clients does not let me believe this. My readers have great enough difficulties simply passing wealth from father to son much less being able to operate a whole system that can dominate the world. I find it hard to believe in a system that has enough cohesion to hang together that long. The nature of man is for youngsters to rebel and change things. I doubt that sinister plots can last for centuries.

Yet the nature of mankind and commerce does create controllers in every generation or through several generations. The controllers keep changing, but there is always too many of them.

Who is trying to control our lives, families and kids now and how? As yet I have not been able to come up with 65 (except in my novel), but have found more than I like. Perhaps you can add a few.

International Investments Controller List

Here are some controllers I see and what they do to us.

Soft Drink Industry. Steal our balance.

Fast Food Businesses. Dull our tastes for life.

Legal Systems. Upend the scale in our hearts.

Organized Religion. Limit our relationship with God.

Science. Tyrannize us with reason.

Accountants. Freeze our ability to serve.

Fashion Trade. Herd us like sheep.

Education system. Lock us in a box.

Chemical industry. Eliminate our long range view.

International Investments Photo

Picture by Dr. Joe Losos at the Corporate Accountability International website. This site shows how the powerful tobacco industry led by Philip Morris/Altria is still fighting in the US and internationally to undermine the global tobacco treaty.

These are real controllers who create impressions and bombard us with them day in and day out. Fortunately we can gain habits to protect us from these controllers.

International Investments Habits

Here are seven habits for everlasting health and wealth.

#1: Live beneath your means.

#2: Allocate time energy and money more efficiently.

#3: Desire financial independence more than social status.

#5: Choose an occupation you love.

#6. See the world as a connected whole.

#7: Pay attention to your health.

These goals may sound easy yet 96.5% of the world fail to gain them. Most people in the Western world want to be millionaires, yet only 3.5% reach this goal. This is because the controllers lead them to spend their money rather than save and invest.

Gain the seven habits above and you can beat the controllers. You can avoid the health and wealth scams that are played on you and your family each and every day.

Until next message, good investing!

Gary

P. S. There is little doubt that controllers have created a toxic environment and that we need continual rejuvenation to combat this.

Our farm is a great place for rejuvenation, fresh, clean, pure. This is why we are brining a wonderful rejuvenation program to our farm this year. Regular breaks restore our beauty, relieve stress and help keep our minds fresh and clear.

Hotel Quito Ecuador offers some of the most incredible views in the world. Nowhere else can you find gardens that are lush twelve months a year, filled with tropical flowers and fruits, coconuts, hibiscus, lemons and orange, yet having flowers from the north (fuchsias, roses and such) as at Hotel Quito Ecuador.

Hotel Quito Ecuador is our home away from home, in part because of these gardens which are quite typical of the lush flora throughout this mountain nation, but are rare at any hotel in Quito or Ecuador.

We have a lovely routine of a long swim in the Hotel Quito Ecuador Olympic sized heated pool which overlooks the entire city, then a nice long steam in their while tiled Turkish steam bath (filled with fresh eucalyptus leaves).

Hotel Quito Ecuador serves a great breakfast buffet of tropical fruits and fresh juices (this morning a delicious blackberry), homemade Swiss muesli (loaded with currants and mango), fresh French bread, free range eggs, corn tamales stuffed in banana leaves and of course cafe con leche.

Hotel Quito Ecuador also provides a view of the entire city from the top floor of the hotel, Techo del Mundo (the roof of the world) a restaurant with the distinction of the 2nd highest restaurant in the world with panoramic views.

Opportunity Update

Ecuador real estate has really paid off for us because we spot contrasts and trends in real estate around the world. This creates opportunity that is fun to pursue. We love searching and inspecting ecuador real estate.

Ecuador Real Estate Alternatives

Yet we realize that there are many othjer places that offer opportunity and fun so our messages in in 2005 have looked at Ecuador real estate, plus opportunity in Argentina, Mexico, Costa Rica and even Germany.

Ecuador Real Estate & Alternatives Update

Here are updates on some of the projects we have reviewed.

Ecuador Real Estate Homes

First, we have heard from our tour operator in Ecuador, Santiago Guamani, who is developing the San Miguel Project in Cotacachee which offers very nice 1,600 square foot homes with mountain views for under $70,000. He writes:“We are happy to send you pictures of the progress in San
Miguel Homes and Gardens.

1. We are now building a lake with a wonderful small waterfall that
will add scenic beauty and provide fishing there.

2. We have decided to add a community swimming pool when the 65% of the project is sold.

3. Our webpage of the project will be updated every week.”

Ecuador Real Estate For Teak

We have previously written numerous times about Ecuadorian real estate and teak. See SpottingTrends.com

Principal Paul Palacios has informed us that his firm, Montgomery and Palacios, now have started their fourth plantation called La Reserva.

This is a Teak plantation located in Guayas Province, Balzar Canton, 11 km north of the canton’s capital and 3 kms. East of Balzar-Empalme highway. There are 350 acres of land in the project with about 280 acres that will be planted in teak.

There will be a public stock placement of 90,000 shares at $12 per share. The annual estimated profitability is 15% per annum at the timbering in 20 years.

The financial and administrative management is done by Montgomery & Palacios, the forestry by Forestall Management: Agromaster S.A. and accounting, auditing & taxes by Deloitte & Touche. See More Details.

Argentina Forestry and Property

A March 2005 message reviewed Argentina forestry and real estate opportunities in the Ushay Project.

The following update comes from Steve Rosberg on the Ushay development.

“On May 31st we signed the purchase agreement for La Negra, with the participation of 17 early-bird investors. Now we are concluding the purchase and the terms were better than budgeted.

“The Trust purchased the corporation (named EFSA) owning La Negra without other assets or liabilities, reducing transfer of title expenses. Also, in the budgeted price we will receive most of the waterfront strip of standing old eucalyptus so that the owners of the lots can decide whether they wish to keep it for landscaping purposes or not.

“We take possession of La Negra on August 30th and are now getting the survey for subdivision started. We are also discussing lease grazing opportunities with cattle ranchers and evaluating whether to sell waste wood on the ground as firewood or charcoal.

“We are also preparing to prune and thin the pine plantation.

“We are subdividing the waterfront lots in 1 hectare (2.471 acres) units. This allows the owners much more flexibility for managing their property in the future.

“This allows the trust to sell as many as 60 additional units – for the benefit of all the investors in the project and increase profits.

“Prices will increase September 1st by 8%.

More details are available from Steve Rosberg

Mexican Coastal Property

Earlier this year I mentioned a property opportunity in Baja, Mexico. (See this page on the internet)

Manager Steve Simkovich reports that the Tucson Citizen newspaper in Tucson, Arizona wrote:

“Tucson and Phoenix could become financial centers for extensive construction projects in Sonora and Baja, California. Some $300 million to $400 million has already been earmarked to potentially fund the building of tourism properties in Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point) and low- and middle-income housing in Baja California, said Boris Kozolchyk, president of the Tucson-based National Law Center for Inter- American Free Trade.”

The article is at: TucsonCitizen.com

There is also an article about Mexican Laguna del Mar project , an $85 million project that includes 1,750 single-family homes, a 32-unit condominium, 300-room hotel and an 18-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Read the full article.

The San Diego Business Journal reported:

“In the next 12 months, stretches of affordable luxury residential property south of the border could be just a bank loan away. U.S. citizens who have long dreamed of owning beachfront property in Mexico, but could not secure financing, may be able to make that dream a reality sooner than they once thought.

“Several U.S. banking institutions are ramping up their lending programs to serve the growing demand among U.S. citizens to invest in residential real estate in Mexico. According to one expert, in 2005 there is likely to be six banks offering mortgages on Mexican homes, which is significant considering that just three banks were originating such loans at the end of last year.” Read the full article.

More details on Liberty cove are available.

Until next update, good global investing.

Ecuador Real Estate Archive XI

To help you get a feel of Ecuador real estate we have posted this special archive that lists many of the hundreds of messages we have shared with our readers about Ecuador real estate this decade.

I Scream for Ice Cream. Ecuador Real Estate and Export

A warm breeze billows a message of freshness and new crops. Patchwork quilts of green plowed by a farmer with brown and white oxen rise through the valley mists. I hang on.

Ibarra Ecuador Feb. 27 2001. I am riding in the back of a dusty, pickup truck and getting wet! This is Carnival and the tradition here is for the kids to throw buckets of water and water balloons at traffic that passes by. We are weaving along cobblestone village lanes watching for local aqua bombarding waifs who have forwarded of our arrival by the roar of our engine. We are watching so we’ll know when to duck!

Our trusty drive slows or speeds to ward off the sodden arcs as they are thrown. Most of them miss. Yet a few get lucky. One tiny, barefooted girl in a green ragged dress and a dirty nose, not more than four I would guess, caught me perfectly with a full yellow, water balloon. Our guest John, got a whole bucketful in the chest. Luckily the sun is warm, the air flows and we dry out quickly. What a fun way to conduct a business!

Merri and I have driven with friends to look at some farms for sale. We rode along wide clean boulevards lined with stately Canary date palms, their trunks painted white as we entered this 80,000 populated town. Then we hustled into the city center to look at some secrets our friend and guide Santiago Guaminy wanted to share. We were looking for business opportunities we told him.

The first comes in the form of a candy shop where they specialize in a blackberry syrup and sugarcane candy called Nogada. This walnut covered candy comes in four flavors, (blackberry, vanilla, cream and cinnamon). This delight is packaged in circular and heart shaped wooden containers (perfect for export) and is highly unusual. I bought over a dozen for gifts. The cost retail? A mere dollar each.

The next surprise was even better, an ice cream shop named Rosalia Suarez. This shop, opened 105 years ago by Mama Rosalia, makes it own ice cream and sherbets on the spot. A large, round wooden bowl is lined with thatch and loaded with salt, sugarcane, ice and fruit. Stirred with a huge wooden spoon the resulting sherbet is slightly below heaven, but not much. Unless you have tasted fresh, home made ice cream on a hot day while sitting under a shady oak tree, you cannot begin to imagine the treat. Flavors you know are blackberry, coconut, banana, mango, cream, and chocolate. Others such as guanabana, fruitilla, naranjilla, ovo, taxo and maracuya are pretty much endemic to Ecuador but no less delicious. All are served up with barquillos (wafers made from banana skin).

In the name of good journalism I had to taste them all!

They are all exquisite, I can professionally report.

The shop is like old fashioned soda fountains used to be, white tile floor, charming white chairs and tables and big servings. The cost for all six of us was a puny three bucks.

This is a good business idea to export to U.S. cites especially with large Latin populations.

The farms we saw would make farmers in the north weep, direct sun 365 days a year, volcanic soil, sweet, good natured labor at $50 to $75 a month. The cows were so healthy, the fruit and vegetables so ripe and huge, the meadows so green. Prices were low. One 5,000 acre majestic farm started at $1,000,000 and I expect will sell for much less. Gary

We have continual Ecuador real estate tours.

Sweet Ecuador people give heartfelt sweetness and friendliness without a price. This cannot be faked by the sweet Ecuador people and it is everywhere in Ecuador, hotels, restaurants, tour operators, even my Ecuadorian barber is such a cheerful soul. I somehow feel he will be crushed if my four dollar haircut was not absolutely perfect and to my liking. He wants so badly to please and when I give a dollar tip he makes me feel like I really have made his day.

This is just the nature of the sweet Ecuador people.

Back at the hotel the message therapist (massages range from $12 to 25) has that same aura of wanting to please. I never feel rushed not like the massage ended too soon. Just cared for. Again this is the way of the sweet Ecuador people.

At the hotel Quito, our home away from home, we find that money cannot buy the sweet Ecuador people who care for us. Washington, the bellman picks a rose out of the huge displays that are everywhere and presents it proudly to Merri every day (and picks the color that perfectly matches her outfit). I even watched one of my readers, who has purchased a house outside of town, stop by and ask the manager if he could store a batch of furniture he had purchased but did not have time to ship. “Of course,” the manger smiled, as if furniture storage were just another service in their hotel. This was a natural response of these sweet Ecuador people because there is an inner quality and caring. They laugh instead of bark. Yes is the automatic response of these sweet Ecuador people, instead of no and this easiness is refreshing and makes life good.

Sweet Ecuador people who are tour operators arrive early and call on us the night before to confirm they will be there, This is another something special Merri and I have found here from the sweet Ecuador people. We have taken groups on tours in dozens of countries but rarely see such dedication and pride by the people who serve us on out trips to the equator. The country has a university course in tourism and the tour guides, like the waiters, bellmen and all types of service providers are professionals that are only happy when we are.

This is what Merri and I really love about Ecuador- sweet Ecuador people that give caringly all these many little things that money cannot buy.

Learn more about sweet Ecuador people from our Ecuador Report or come to our next course in Ecuador at GaryScott.com

Sometimes one picture is worth a thousand words

Sweet Ecuador people include the kids at an Amazonian village school that our Ecuador business helped support

Yes I believe some of you can cash in on an Ecuador ice cream business. Having fun… well everyone likes Ecuador ice cream. Business too. Read why below.

I was not looking for an Ecuador ice cream business. This was Carnival and the tradition here is for the kids to throw buckets of water and water balloons at traffic that passes by. Our guest John, got a whole bucketful in the chest. Luckily the sun was warm, the air flows and we dry out quickly. What a fun way to conduct a business! Forget about the profits available from an Ecuador ice cream business. Well maybe not quite. See why as you read on.

The shop is like old fashioned soda fountains used to be, white tile floor, charming white chairs and tables and big servings. The cost for all six of us was a puny three bucks.

This is a good Ecuador ice cream business idea to take to U.S. cites especially with large Latin populations.

The farms we saw would make farmers in the north weep, direct sun 365 days a year, volcanic soil, sweet, good natured labor at $50 to $75 a month. One 5,000 acre majestic farm started at $1,000,000 and I expect will sell for much less.

But the real reason we love Ibbarra (which by the way is one of the cleanest cities in Ecuador) is as a source of wood products and art. We are buying really low cost products in Ecuador and selling them over eBay. What a nice place to begin an Ecuador ice cream business.

Combining good international investing with the greatest asset of all, the ability to earn wherever you live, brings everlasting wealth.

Why not start an Ecuador ice cream business… hand make your ice cream as we do at our hotel. Or export Ecuador ice cream hand making ideas and good to Canada or the US. Here is Eduardo at our Ecuador hotel Meson de las flores hand making making ice cream.

Ecuador is called a third world nation which means that feel this is a poor place. In dollars and cents, maybe, but there is more Ecuador real estate potential than you would expect. There are some things that money cannot buy as you can see on the following pages.

The image on this page comes from pictures I took in Ecuador and shows what an incredibly beautiful and inspiring place this is. Ecuador-images.net

There are so many wonders in Ecuador. So many sights and sounds create Ecuador real estate potential. One of them is flowers! Here is Merri and me in the gardens of Hostria La Sieniga.

This is where Baron Von Humbolt (discovered Galapagos and invented the metric system). These gardens are full of geraniums, but you can get just about any type of flower there. A recent article in National Geographic pointed out that Ecuador is now one of the largest flower exporters in the world because the sun and varied altitudes creates innumerable microclimates so any type of flower can grow. This picture was taken in the gardens at La Sieniga which is in an area of excellent Ecuador real estate potential

There we were, middle of the winter, soaking in the Ecuador sun, thinking about Ecuador real estate potential and things that money cannot buy such as 365 days a year of direct sun so near the USA.

This is only available in Ecuador. No matter whether you are rich or poor you can gain Ecuador real estate potential.

Learn more Ecuador real estate potential from our Ecuador Report or come to our next course in Ecuador at GaryScott.com

Shrimp farm investing can be profitable farm investing and enjoyable farm investing as well.

Look at what happens when you think about shrimp farm investing. Picture waves crashing on black haystack rocks that grind an aquamarine Pacific into foam and mists of white. Think about shrimp farm investing in the areas around Puerto Lopez, Ecuador. Imagine sitting on the gleaming 35-foot cruiser. Warm salt air massages your sun-drenched skin as you race west, hypnotized by a sleepy drone from twin Yamaha 115s. This is an enjoyable part of shrimp farm investing!

There are many economic opportunities to share in Ecuador. Shrimp farm investing is just one. “What really is paradise?” I asked this question on my last trip to Ecuador’s Pacific coast. Let me assure you, I was not thinking about shrimp farm investing. I was looking across the sea at eleven shrimpers that glowed white as they bobbed on the horizon. Their bird covered arms trailed nets that looked like spidery webs.

I watched the ocean turn deep indigo as the continental shelf dropped away. Our destination was Isla de la Plata, the Silver Isle, little known but like Galapagos, the home of rare birds (we saw loads of blue footed boobies in their rookery) and animal life not known elsewhere.

“What really is paradise?” I pondered this. Sure the idea of shrimp farm investing crossed my mind but while walking a broad beach at sunrise to join the villagers for the morning’s catch, I was mainly having fun.

Ditto for the evening listening to the soft murmur of young lovers as they strolled on a warm evening, holding hands. Shrimp farm investing? Naw, I was asking if seeing a billion stars on a clear night is paradise? I was wondering if the native market piled high in mangos, papaya, pineapples, custard fruit, bananas in yellow, red and green, blackberries, ovos, plums, beans, potatoes, corn, tomatoes, peppers, cabbages bigger than a bread basket, flowers and other delicious fruits and vegetables was the heaven I sought.

Other experiences in my quest to learn more about shrimp farm investing included a cook who prepares edible treasures with love and serves them on an open-air balcony cleansed by a sweet breeze from the sea. Was this the paradise I sought? An afternoon sleep in a hammock, soothed by a gentle salt breeze? Riding through a tropical forest listening to monkeys calling out? Fresh ground juice at night on the terrace? Village laughter in the darkness heard from a comfortable bed? Friendly, happy faces everywhere?

Merri and I enjoyed all this as we researched shrimp farm investing. We are not the only ones who see the potential of shrimp farm investing either. One delegate from our last Pacific coastal extension (Details for our next conference are at GaryScott.com) wrote:

“Approximately 8 of us decided to help out w/restarting the shrimp farm business with Diego. Apparently his cohorts need around $8,000. So, we figured with $1,000 each we could start up a venture. We didn’t put out any money yet, as there wasn’t any official documents or business structure to approve. We’re not sure if it will become profitable shrimp farm investing in the near future, but, with a small capital investment, it wouldn’t be a great loss and would greatly benefit some of the people there. It looks like the 8 investors would share 50% of the profits and the other 50% goes to the Ecuadorians involved in the work and Diego, of course. I think we should do a business plan with Gary’s guidance and expertise. I feel that there should be an issuance of shares, therefore, if some people added more capital or cashed in some shares, or reinvested the profits there would be a way of accounting for and dividing the profits/losses. I don’t think we’ll do anything without Gary looking over the process. We’d get one pod up and running and then start a fresh water pod with the Indigenous up in the hills using lemon and garlic as feed in the pods.”

Another delegate who joined in on the coastal extension, wrote about shrimp farm investing:

“Dear Gary. Thank YOU so much for a wonderful event. In addition to your very informative seminar, we went on the coastal tour and enjoyed it immensely. I told you about the reservations I had concerning the shrimp farm investing but Diego answered (almost) all of our questions satisfactorily so we are going ahead with the shrimp farm investing project, hoping to revive shrimp farming in an ecological way in Ecuador. If this works then we can use it as a demonstration project for shrimp farm investing elsewhere, such as in Mexico, where it has been very destructive.”

So our delegates have their first shrimp farm investing project going and their goals go way beyond just the money. They love the beauty of the coast and are proving fair trade employment for the poor as they help restore the environment. And who is Diego, you might ask. He is a long term associate of our best friends in Ecuador, Santiago and Betsy, who own Ecuador Amazing. He has a doctorate degree in Marine Biology and a keen sense of ecology and has been involved in shrimp farm investing for years. Ecuador is filled with these dedicated, well-educated young men who have a lot of know-how and experience but need capital.

We have developed other contacts for those who are interested in shrimp farm investing.

One reader wrote about shrimp farm investing:

“I am writing a letter to the several people who have contacted me through Gary Scott regarding their interest in investing in shrimp farming in Ecuador.

“I have been involved in commercial aqua culture of several species shrimp for the last 24 years, and unlike other consultants, actually built and operated 5 different shrimp farms all over the world.

“I recently sold my company, and am semi-retired. Only working from time to time as a consultant when a particular client is working on a project of interest.

“I am a little at a loss as I do not know what precisely what Gary has said about me.

“Let me start with what I am not. I am not farming in Ecuador nor do I have any contacts for a particular deal or farm under development there. I am considering purchasing a home on the coast near Manta, and will likely hang my shingle there in the future to assist farmers and investors (in shrimp farm investing).

“What I can be for you is an objective industry expert, able to penetrate the hype that surrounds shrimp farm investing.

I can make sure that the plans and projections you may invest in are viable and possible, and steer you away from the projects that are based on unachievable projections in shrimp farm investing).

“Indeed, in this capacity the fact that I have no experience in Ecuador will keep my observations above the spin that often accompanies shrimp farming projects. The fact is, way more money has been lost than made in this industry of shrimp farm investing). It’s not quite like farming silk worms, but not too far from it in terms of hype.

“I am presently working for the Mexican government on a project in Guanajuanto and will be here until the end of February.

“However, I respectfully suggest that before you invest a dime in this industry, you retain an industry expert to review the plans you are funding (for shrimp farm investing).

“My fee is $500 a day with a minimum retainer of 2 days for any project I review.

“Should you find yourself in the position of actually looking at a specific project you are considering investing in, a few dollars to review the viability will keep you from making an uninformed decision (about shrimp farm investing).

“Feel free to contact me with specific questions or ideas. I will let you know if we need to get the meter running if I feel that is necessary.

“Best Fishes, (and shrimp, too!) Marshall.

We also received some interest in shrimp farm investing from this reader who wrote:

“DEAR MR SCOTT: SOME WEEKS AGO I BELIEVE I READ AN ARTICLE ON THE NEED FOR CAPITAL INFUSION INTO THE FISHING INDUSTRY IN ECUADOR. I HAVE ASKED LEE HARRISON TO PUT ME IN CONTACT WITH YOU. COULD YOU GIVE ME A BROADER OUTLINE OF WHO NEEDS MONEY FOR WHAT AND HOW MUCH, (IF YOU KNOW OR CAN FIND OUT)? I WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK WITH OR TO SOME OF THE PEOPLE WHO DO NEED CAPITAL AND WHAT THE FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENT WOULD BE FOR ME AFTER PUTTING IN THE INVESTMENT. I WOULD NOT WANT TO HELP RUN THE COMPANY OR COMPANIES, BUT WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO BE INFORMED BY THE OWNERS AS PROGRESS IS MADE. THANK YOU FOR WHATEVER HELP YOU CAN FURNISH. BEST REGARDS. LEO”

Is shrimp farm investing for you? I cannot answer this question but if you love the Pacific Ocean there is nowhere that has cleaner seas and so many exotic sites. Most of Ecuador’s coast is in the authentic, rough and tumble, pre-resort stage. (If you love Disney World and Cancun, this area is definitely not for you!)

If you wish you had discovered Puerto Vallarta or Akumal on the Yucatan Peninsula 30 years ago, then shrimp farm investing here may appeal.

If you have an interest in shrimp farm investing and want contacts, let me know at gary@successguidelines.com.

We’ll starting another coastal tour soon. Details at GaryScott.com

Until next message, good shrimp farm investing or any type of business to you!

Gary Scott

P.S. On other great feature of the May coastal trip, beyond the shrimp farm investing details, is whale watching. The observation season will just be starting and seeing huge humpback whales up really close is almost guaranteed.

Why Ecuador Real Estate?

For us one reason is that we love Ecuador real estate. Rosaspamba, in Quechua (the language of the Andes), means “Place of Roses”. This is the name of our hacienda in Ecuador, which is a huge tract of meadows and primary forest, five gigantic waterfalls…all with an incredible sense of peace and harmony. The hacienda looks down on lush valleys. Mists are rising, waterfalls fold in lacy cascades and bird songs thrill the clear air. A mountain river below rushes in harmony. There is a joy here that few have felt since we were kids. There’s not a worry in the world except watching the roses grow.

Merri and I stood on a bluff one dusk and watched our Ecuador real estate turn golden as the thin sun set into the distant Pichinca Mountains. The air was crystal and chilled, but a roaring bonfire erased the cold. Scents of the wild roses fill our Ecuador real estate. The roses grow throughout this land floated on the rising thermals. Rosaspamba has bouquets of wild roses growing at its entrance. Everywhere you turn you can see roses and at the end of the day we sat there talking about roses.

This hacienda has over 800 acres ranging from 5,000 to 7,000 feet. Though deep in the Andes we are only an hour and a half from Quito airport, yet isolated, rich with creeks and water falls and world class views, looking over layer upon layer of green velvet peaks that roll into the distance. This is Ecuador real estate that allows us to be totally remote yet still near a major city.

This Ecuador real estate was originally a sugar cane plantation with groves of oranges, avocados, and lemons as well as endemic and medicinal fruits and plants.

In this Ecuador real estate we live and work above the clouds, in the clouds, below the clouds and sometimes with clouds that just pass right through us.

It is impossible to describe these majestic, mystical, enchanting vistas that literally take your breath away, but we wanted more than just views. So this evening as we sat by the roaring bonfire, we talked about things we could do with the land.

There are numerous ways we can use this Ecuador real estate and the pages that follow outlines explain many reasons beyond love why we recommend owning Ecuador real estate to so many of our readers and have brought thousands of people to this enchanted land. We hope you will enjoy this series of reports as well.

Low Cost is one reason to own Ecuador real estate. My wife Merri and I originally moved to Ecuador to get away from the crowds and the hustle and bustle of Western life. We wanted to enjoy the unique culture and experience a different way of life.

To look at low cost Ecuador real estate let’s start with the real estate in Old Quito. This area is one of the most magnificent pieces of man’s infrastructure that has been almost totally unused and offers a grand Ecuador investment. With the help of Unesco and the Ecuadorian government the entire area is being restored. To attract investors with low cost Ecuador Quito real estate and to get new residents in Quito property these renovated properties are being sold for pennies on the dollar. Here is history, architecture and structure that cannot be duplicated even if 100 times the selling price were spent. This is a good enough reason to look at low cost Ecuador real estate alone.
